What will the weather be today?  Emily helped us find out!

Wear Red and a Hat Day

DSC02685

Look at our cute ghosts!  We worked so hard cutting on the lines and using just the right amount of glue.

DSC02688

We also worked on our fine motor skills as we tore orange paper to make pumpkins!

Blue and White Day

Our kids all came today wearing their blue and white to show how much we love Wolf Branch School! We also ate yummy apples at snack time to remind ourselves to eat healthy foods.

DSC02672

We sure had a goofy time!

DSC02675

After reading The Night Before Halloween, we made book pages about what we are going to be for Halloween.  I can’t wait to see everyone in their costumes on Friday!

DSC02676

Rainy days call for recess inside the classroom. We split into groups and played a Halloween graphing game.  Where will the bean bag land…?

Pajama Day!

Could there be a better way to start off the week than to go to school in your pajamas???  Adding to our fun, we read a book about a grandfather who makes a jack-o-lantern with his grandson. Then we made our own jack-o-lantern windsocks!  The kids practiced cutting shapes to design their own spooky faces.

Some of the kids can already read the Halloween sight words we began working on today.  Aren’t these kids amazing!? Show your kids these words and let them impress you, too!  Halloween, October, trick-or-treat, costume, candy, ghost, and party.

Pumpkin Day at Wolf Branch

Today was a special day!  We started off our day by showing our principal how much we appreciate her!  For Principal’s Appreciation Day, we made a book about why we love Wolf Branch and we sang Mrs. Sanderson a thank you song.  She was very happy!

DSC02637

Today was also the day we all ventured to the Wolf Branch Pumpkin Patch!

DSC02638

We sure had fun with our friends!

Now we all have pumpkins! …I wonder what clever pumpkin names the kiddos will come up with…

Boogity Bones and Punky graciously gave their seeds for us to taste.  “Yum!” said some. “Ick!” said others.
